Replica (3D medical model) is to produce a physical model of human body part with various materials using the data acquired from a CT scan or MRI scan.
It is a new technology to process the CT or MR data into 3D reconstructed image and produce the physical models by selecting solidifying one horizontal layer at a time with stepwise submerging along the vertical axis.

1) Usages of Replica
- Diagnosis & Treatment Planning: Surgeons can make the treatment planning intuitively and
quantitatively with Replica (3D Medical Model)

- Surgical Simulation: Replica (3D Medical Model) can be used for the surgical simulation in
Malformation surgery, Maxillofacial Surgery, and Orthopedic Surgery etc.

- Making Customized Template: Surgeons can reduce the operation time by making customized
template with Replica (3D Medical Model) before surgical defect operation or reconstructing
  operation after tumor removal etc.

- Education and training

2) Advantages of CyberMed's Replica Service
- Accuracy. Replica (3D Medical Model) is as almost actual size as real internal organs

- Speed. We have the fast rapid prototyping machines

- Economical efficiency. We have our own original software and long-term know-how about
  Replica Service.

- Up-to-date Technology. We have up-to-date Technology through the continuous study and
advice from medical professionals of each field.

1) Oral & Maxillofacial dept

  (1) Orthognathic Surgery
[Case of Prof. M.J. Kim in dept of O.M.S. Seoul National Univ. Hospital]
   - Diagnosis : Angle Class III malocclusion. Mandibular
     prognathism with midfacial deficiency.
   - Usage : Surgical Simulation with Replica
   - Effect : Shortening of the operation time and getting the
     esthetically Excellent Surgical Result

  (2) Surgery with Replica
[Case of Prof. Y.G.Kim in dept of O.M.S , KyungHee Univ. Hospital]
   - Diagnosis : Facial Asymmetry with deformity of left mandible
     andprocess.
   - Usage : Surgical Simulation with Replica
   - Effect : Shortening of the operation time and getting the
     esthetically Excellent Surgical Result.

  (3) Reconstruction of surgical defect
[Case of Prof. M.J. Kim in dept of O.M.S, Seoul National Univ. Hospital]
   - Diagnosis : Post op. state (hemimandibulectomy due to
     osteosarcoma) and reconstruction is needed.
   - Usage : Making Replica using Symmetric image of Normal Part
and Using it as a guide for reconstructing defected part.
   - Effect : Treatment planning before surgery with the information
of defected size and shape. Shortening the operation time,
     Increasingthe accuracy of surgery.

  (4) Fracture
[Case of Prof. M.J. Kim in dept of O.M.S, Seoul National Univ.Hospital]
   - Diagnosis : Complex and communicated fracture on
right condyle left mandibular body and angle area by fall down
   - Usage : Observing the fractured state exactly, Treatment
     planning,Using the Bridging Plate.
   - Effect : Shortening the operation time

  (5) Distraction Osteogenesis
[Case of Prof. M.J. Kim in dept of O.M.S, Seoul National Univ. Hospital]
   - Diagnosis : Hemifacial microsomia
   - Usage : In distraction osteogenesis, Getting information of the
direction and amount of bone fracture's movement.
   - Effect : Being able to pre-estimate movement direction and
     amount accurately.

2) Conservative Dentistry dept.
 (1) Transplantation Surgery

- Producing the tooth model & donor sites model for transplantation
  surgery

3) Neurosurgery dept.
(1) C-spine (2) Brain-Angio

- Being able to understand the 3 Dimensional relationships among spine, spiral code and blood
  vessel
